Two teasers to go. Last week was customisation: teaching the partner how your company works. This week is about what it brings before you teach it anything.

Reading a Swedish construction contract well takes years. Experienced people read it with a set of questions in their head, built up project by project. This week's quality is expertise.

Expertise means the partner reads your documents with those same questions. In the new Brickanta, that knowledge sits inside the reviews themselves, ready on every project.

Its method comes from people who do the work. The way Brickanta reviews a contract was written by construction lawyers on our own team. Their review matrix sets out what each code should contain, what applies when the contract is silent, and which apparent issues turn out to be harmless on a closer read. That last part matters. A review full of false alarms just hands the reading work back to you.

It reads clauses together. A short deadline is one thing. A short deadline next to a heavy penalty clause and a narrow change-order window is another. Brickanta is built to check those combinations as a separate pass across the whole contract, so a risk spread over three sections is read as one.

It knows what the law allows. In a public procurement, the terms are fixed and a tender may not carry reservations. Brickanta is built to recognise when a project falls under the Public Procurement Act (LOU), and never suggests asking the client to renegotiate. Advice you cannot lawfully act on is no advice at all.

And when a contract falls outside what the method covers, it says so plainly and leaves the guessing out.

Society builders spend whole careers learning to read between the clauses. Their partner should arrive already knowing how to read them.
