Built this week: Sep 4

The last two weeks were about what the ultimate construction partner holds on its own: Memory, the ability to remember and Direction, the ability to see where the project is going. This week's quality belongs to everyone: collaboration.

A construction project is a relay. An estimator hands to a project manager, who hands to a site team, who hands to procurement. The baton passes from one set of hands to the next, and the whole thing depends on nothing being dropped along the way.

Collaboration means the partner works the way a great team does. Several people from across the organisation in the same project at the same time, with the same information and the same knowledge in front of them. When one person finishes their part, the next can pick it up already knowing where things stand.

It also means working alongside Brickanta itself. A partner you can think out loud with. One that drafts while you refine, and shapes the work with you.

In the new Brickanta, the work compounds into shared knowledge. What gets figured out in one part of a project carries into the next: procurement builds on what legal review found, and quality assurance builds on both. Every completed step stays visible, so the project remembers its own progress and passes it forward.

Construction has always been the work of many hands. Society builders have always shaped the built world together, and the tools that serve them should understand that better than anyone.
